FOOLPROOF: Garden Plants You Absolutely Can’t Kill

Whether you’re starting a garden, or you just want some more greenery in the house, finding plants that won’t die on you can be hard. Some people seem to just have a green thumb, while others seem to have plants die on them for no reason. If you’re looking to keep a few casual plants around the house, here are a few easy plants that are foolproof. They’re excellent for beginners, and require minimum care.

Bamboo

Bamboo is notorious for being one of the easiest plants a person can have. Yes, you can plant it in the garden if you truly want to. On the other hand, you can also keep it indoors. Bamboo plants require only a little bit of sunlight, water, and usually rocks to help it hold its place if you decide to keep it in a pot. The majority of the time, all the bamboo is going to require is some water when it starts to run low. Just remember to check it every couple of weeks, give it water when the water level is low, and you’re good to go.

Marimo Balls (or known as Ball of Moss)

Do you want an even easier pet plant to take care of? Why not have awesome balls of moss? Marimo Balls are little green balls of algae native to Japan. These are literally one of the easiest plants to take care of. All you need for these little guys is tap water, some indirect sunlight, and that’s it. They’ll just continue to grow on their own without you having to do anything. It is recommended you change the water for them at least once every two weeks. They can also do really well under lamplight and grow fine underneath that. Just be sure to turn over your little ball of moss every couple of days so it maintains its round shape.

Dragon Tree

Better known as “Dracaena Marginata”, these plants are one of the best houseplants you can ever own. These plants are really strong and actually very drought tolerant. They require some well-drained soil, and actually prefer it a little dry. They grow well beneath bright light, and can survive in temperatures from 65 degrees Fahrenheit to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. They’re only downfall, is that Dragon plants have a hard time surviving in the cold. There are many kinds and varieties of this plant family. So if you don’t like the kind you find, you can always search for another one.

Having a plant that requires little care to keep in your house can seem difficult. In fact, there are actually quite a few numbers of easy plants that require almost little to no care. Most of the time all you have to do is water them and make sure the plants have a little fertilizer every couple of months. We hope you enjoyed finding some plants that are foolproof.
